Important: Any item delivered outside of India is not eligible for a return or refund. We only offer product exchanges for international orders.
Eligibility for Exchange
An exchange request must be submitted within 15 days of receiving your item, subject to the following conditions:
- The product you wish to exchange for must be of a similar or greater value.
- For custom orders, an exchange is only applicable in the case of a manufacturing defect.
Shipping Costs
The buyer is responsible for all costs associated with returning the original product to our warehouse in India, including shipping, taxes, and duties. This applies whether you self-ship the item or we arrange for shipping on your behalf. However, Resha Rugs will cover the shipping costs for sending the new, exchanged product to your location.
How to Process an Exchange
- Initiate the Request: Email us at orders@resharugs.com within 15 days of receiving your order. Please include your order number and the reason for the exchange.
- Consultation: You will receive a call from our customer support team within 1-2 working days to guide you through the process and help you select your new product.
- Return the Original Rug: Ship the original product in its original, sellable condition back to our Indian warehouse.
- Quality Check: Upon receipt, the returned item will undergo a quality inspection.
- Finalize & Dispatch: After the quality check is complete, any outstanding balance for a higher-value item must be paid. Once settled, we will dispatch your new selection. If the new item is of lower value, we will provide a store credit coupon for the difference, which is redeemable on our website for the next 3 months.
Terms & Conditions for Exchange
- The exchange request must be raised within 15 days of order delivery.
- The item must be returned in the same condition it was received, with all original packing, labels, and tags intact. Any alteration or illegible serial numbers will void the exchange.
- If you receive a product with a manufacturing defect, you must notify us at orders@resharugs.com within 48 hours of receipt, including pictures of the defect.
- Any discounts or offers from the original purchase may not be applicable to the exchanged product, at the discretion of Resha Rugs.
What is Not Considered a Manufacturing Defect?
The following are normal characteristics of handcrafted rugs and are not considered manufacturing defects:
- Occasional sprouting, pulls, or the loss of single tufts of fiber.
- Shedding of fibers, which is normal for new wool rugs and can be reduced by regular vacuuming.
- Minor color and texture variations due to the use of natural fibers and dyes.
- Changes in color due to prolonged exposure to sunlight, humidity, or heat.
- Temporary rolling marks from packaging, which will disappear with routine vacuuming.
- Matting or crushing from use, which can be minimized with proper maintenance.
- A temporary odor when the rug is first removed from its packaging, which will dissipate after a day in a well-ventilated area.
